Who am I Really? Am I an amalgamation of my life experiences? Am I what people think I am? Am I what society says I am? Am I my parents and grandparents? Am I my past lifes?

We are all of these things. Our identity in this world is shaped by all these things. Much of our identity is already formed in the womb when our DNA is created by the joining of the egg and the sperm. What traits are we inheirting from our mother and father, from their mother and father and from their mother and father and so on. Our ancestoral lineage is huge. We recieve all manner of traits, some are helpful and skillful and others provide roadblocks. Some of these roadblocks ae not the traumas our ancestors suffered but their protective trauma response. These usually show up as unreasonable fear, like fear of water when you had no fearful experiences with water. Also, they can show up as an automatic reaction to something that makes no sense to you. So, you could say we are born into this world with a bucket list of things to undo.
Then we are born into this physical realm having to adjust and learn how to be physical. Our parents are caring for our every need keeping us alive. We begin to gain some independance and explore our world and this is when the conditioning kicks into high gear. Out of love, you are being conditioned and programmed to perform a certain way by your family, neighbors, school, church and society at large, even your country shapes who you are. So we take on these character traits that are not ours and layer up over who we really are. We bury our true selves to the point we don't know who we are. We get glimmers of it.
If you are lucky, you were raised in an environment that cultivated self awareness to some degree.
We go through life, experiencing life, interpeting our experiences and drawing conclusions. Have you ever noticed how two people raised in the same environment or suffered the same trauma (car accident) respond differently to it? All of your history and your ancestoral history shape how you will decide to respond today.
Past lifes also play a part , we have energetic imprints in our fields that affect our life choices. Are we holding onto a vow or contract we made in a lifetime that occured 1,000 years ago? Are we hanging onto a trauma response from 400 years ago? All of this leads to our "dis" "ease" whether it is mental, emotional or physical. So you can see how one size doesn't fit all. So many factors effect your state of Being, too many to count.
It forms our identity BUT! it is not who you really are! Now you can see what a
big job it is to uncover the real you. Your true essence is buried beneath all that you think you should be. Your healing process is is pulling away the layers, dimantling the falsehoods you have come to believe in. All this is based in vibration and frequency. This is why energy healing works, it helps you discover hidden things, release blocks and bring in fresh energy.
The layers are slower denser energies that bog you down. Which is why you feel lighter when you release something that no longer serves you. As the layers are dismantled, more of your true vibration emerges and health returns. You also get to experience the true you. The playful creator you are. You experience life in a whole new way. You become present, in the moment. You explore the wonderment of this world. You truly begin to love yourself. So many things you thought you needed begin to fall away. Life is a joy!
I don't know about you, but that's the kind of life I want to live. The more you release the more glimpses you get into your real world, the real you! I hope you join me in this journey of self discovery.
